Sam Wise Youth Sports Complex

 

Currently the Altoona Youth Soccer Association trains and competes on the beautiful grounds of the Sam Wise Youth Sports Complex.  Our facility is located on the Eastern edge of Altoona at 501 8th St SE, Altoona, IA 50009.  Our complex features 13 impressive game fields, a concession building, plenty of parking and some of the best soccer in Eastern Polk County!

 

Directions to our complex:

 

 

From I-80: Take Exit #143(1st AVE) South towards Altoona.  Turn left(East) on 8th ST, go 1/2 mile, fields will be located on the left(North) side of the road.  Parking is available in the parking lot on 8th St or any of the side streets.

Ankeny Soccer Complex

 

From I-35 take exit #92 ( 1st St ) west to Ankeny BLVD. (HWY 69). Turn right (NORTH) on Ankeny BLVD. Go 1 mile and turn left (WEST) on NW 18th street . Go ½ mile on 18th and turn left onto NW Ash. Parking lots available on Ash and at Northview Middle School

 

Johnston Soccer Complex

 

Go North on Merle Hay Road from I-80. Turn East on NW 62nd Ave. Continue East to Beaver Ave and turn North. At NW 66th Ave turn East. The fields are directly ahead. Fields 1-4 are on the North side of the road, and fields 5-10 are on the South side of the road.

 

Soccer South Soccer Complex

 

5171 SW Park Ave; Fields are just west of Valley Drive on the north side of Park Ave or 1/2 mile east of SW 63rd & Park Ave.

 

Soccer West Soccer Complex

 

Aliber Youth Park is located at 63rd Street and Grand Ave. in Des Moines (Southeast of Intersection); Entrance Off of Grand. This complex is located directly behind and to the east of the miniature golf course.

 

Urbandale Soccer Complex

 

From 100th Street and Douglas - go north. Follow 100th Street to Meredith Drive . Go west to 104th Street and turn south. Soccer Fields 1-7 are on the left..

VSA/Waukee Soccer Complex

 

Directions from I-80, Travel 6 miles west on I-80 to Exit 117 Waukee/Booneville. Travel 2.5 miles north to 300th Street (Sugar Creek golf course is on the east side of the road).  Turn left (West) on 300th Street. Travel 1 3/4 miles west to the soccer complex (North Side of the Road).

 

WDM Hidden Valley Soccer Complex – South Side Of Walnut Woods Drive   

 

Take I-35 south to IA-5 south.  Take the first exit on IA -5 south (exit 102) for S. 35th Street and follow the signs to Walnut Woods Park .  The soccer complex is just east of the state park on the left (north) side of the road. You may also take the second exit on IA-5 south (Southwest Connector).  Turn left onto the connector.  Go north; take the second street to the left which is Walnut Woods Drive .  The main portion of the soccer complex will be on the right (north) side of the road.  A smaller group of fields is on the south side.
